WMCFF gives teachers and child care professionals the resources to meet a need the moment they see it — a winter coat, a car seat, school supplies, diapers — without a family ever having to ask.

The West Michigan Children and Families Fund exists to give teachers and child care professionals a direct way to meet the needs of the children and families they already serve.
A need often comes up in an ordinary conversation — a parent mentioning that a winter coat, a car seat, school supplies, or diapers would help their child. When that happens, the educator or child care professional can let the parent know they have access to WMCFF, then submit a short referral so the fund can review and approve it.
The family never has to fill out anything or explain their situation to a stranger. The referral comes from the educator, not the family, and doesn't include personal details about their situation or require any proof of need. WMCFF is designed to be a fast, easy, and dignified way to help children and families in our community.
